Vail Dance Festival
Shelbie is the proud Music Director of the Vail Dance Festival, alongside Artistic Director Damian Woetzel. Every summer, many of the most esteemed dance companies in the world gather in Vail, CO for a few weeks of spectacular performances and collaborations. Throughout the Festival, Shelbie can be found conducting and performing alongside companies such as Martha Graham Dance Company, Alvin Ailey, New York City Ballet, American Ballet Theater, Limòn Dance Company, and many more. Shelbie is honored to lead the Music Department, alongside Pulitzer Prize winner Caroline Shaw, Composer-in-Residence, and Brooklyn Rider, Ensemble-in-Residence. Past Festival Artists include Chris Thile, Lil Buck, Davòne Tines and Kate Davis, among many others.
